God's Glorious Handiwork

O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set your glory above the heavens.
Psalms 8:1

My daughter and son in law stood outside their home just chatting before I departed their company, when I looked past my son in law and beheld this awesome sight.  We enjoyed the splendor of this beautiful sight and our conversation shifted from talking about something in the natural to the magnificence of God's glory.  His handiwork was all over the place and it caused us to stop and shift gears in our conversation.

As I drove off, I began to think about no matter what's going on in the world, the signature of God is plastered in the heavens, on the earth and beneath the earth.  Beholding His glory should cause one to shift from the natural, mundane activity of this life and become rejuvenated by God's signature everywhere we look.  David saw God in all things and wrote about it.

There was a time when the older ones would tell us to slow down from all our busy work and smell the roses.  Keeping our minds stayed on Jesus is as simple as seeing His hand all around us.  Knowing that God is with us, in us and  around us will cause us to live a phenomenal life.  Beholding the things around us that the hand of man didn't make causes our hearts to leap because of the awesome creativity of the Creator.  The hills, mountains, streams, rivers, clouds and every created thing in nature is like a beautiful 3D oil painting with value that can't be measured.

I'm a nature freak and my soul rejoices when I see beautiful scenery.  Our God blesses our eyes with sweet sights. When we are aware of God, we become transformed into His image because of His signature all around us. We are reminded of His words that speaks of the heavens declaring His glory. We become aware that God is always with us   We can then pray without ceasing as we declare His majesty in our lives.

There are many things to be in despair about these days unless you shift your sight, thoughts and heart to Jesus.  He is our satisfier and our joy.  He anchors our heart and synchronize it with His. He moves us from the mundane to the supernatural and from this realm to the Heavenly realm.  Ascend to the heights of glory with God and sit with Christ in heavenly places.

I want to encourage you to stop, take a deep breath and thank God for the moment.  If you do this often enough, you will find that you are drinking deeply from the Wells of God who satisfies our soul. His name is indeed excellent in the earth and His glory above the heavens.  He is calling you.
