River of Life pt. 2

...If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.  John 7:37

Many towns and cities have been built and established on the bank of a river.  The river becomes the life and center of the town or city.  So it is with the things of the spirit, Jesus is the living waters, who sacrificed Himself for mankind so that we would be filled with His glory.

God invites us to drink deeply from the cistern of His buxom and we will never thirst again.  This river of life flows freely from God to us and it satisfies our inner man that thirsts for validation and love.  When we are satisfied with God, we will not desire to control or mistreat others through temper tantrums, manipulations or abuse and we will not seek to self destruct.

Being filled with the living waters of Christ will regulate our minds and settle our spirit.  We will not live in a place of mental turmoil or an unstable mind.  Our hearts will be in a peaceful place because we will drink from the Prince of peace,  Jesus Christ.

We bear His fruit of self control (temperance) and we demonstrate His character to others.

Out of our belly will flow rivers of living waters.  What is poured into us by God will be manifested in our lives.  We will be established in God and will stand on the foundation that our strength and behavior comes from Him.  Our mind and heart will display stability and maturity as we move in consideration of others and in wisdom concerning ourselves.

A double-minded man or woman is unstable in all their ways, but a man or woman who bear the fruit of temperance will be victorious in every situation.  A stable, self controlled and God controlled person will have what they requests of the Lord.  I pray that you drink deeply from the true River, Living Water of Life and that is God Almighty.
