Global Meltdown

We have seen the elements of earth, wind, fire and water come against us on a global scale, as well as the death and destruction they leave behind. It is disheartening to see those who are suffering from current floods in Pakistan and China and to realize how many lives have been lost from these floods. The Polar Ice Caps are melting because of warming temperatures but, I am not talking about the global meltdown of the earth but rather, how hot tempers are flaring.

We are witnessing a global meltdown of man’s heart. People are losing their tempers and minds over seemingly trivial matters. But the truth is, these people are suffering from several disappointments and fears and they simply don’t know what to do, except display aggressive or sadistic behavior. When people live their lives according to their own selfish standards and not by the principles of God, they will experience a personal meltdown. They will have fear of losing their place in society, finances, family or jobs. We are constantly hearing about economic loss and possible higher taxes on the News and man’s heart is in fear of losing everything they own. We are literally being poisoned by the foods we eat, the water we drink, and in some communities, terrorized by gangs and drug lords. What a crazy way to live. People are scared and fear is causing many to act out in aggression. The question is, how aggressive will man become? Mild aggression will cause a person to do selfish things like jump in front of people in lines or say mean things to people. But aggression can also progress to violent behavior, brutality and murder. It’s no longer shocking to hear of daily murders in the news; what shocks us is someone doing something that crosses over into homicidal insanity.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. 2 Timothy 3:1-4

The Apostle Paul begins this letter to Timothy to “mark this.” In other words, Paul is telling Timothy to remember what he was about to tell him; that the nature of man will get worse in the last days. Well to you I say, “MARK THIS”, you ARE in the last days. You can read every single word Paul wrote and validate that this is the world we live in, because it is on a global scale. Don’t get it twisted and think you have tons of years ahead of you, folks this is about as bad as it gets. We are experiencing a global meltdown of the heart of man. When people don’t know who God is or refuse to acknowledge Him as God; then there is nothing to keep them from sliding down the scale to their own personal Hell, with the intentions to take as many gullible people as they can, with them.

Men and women of God; this is your hour and season to evangelize to a dying world. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. It is the time for the Church to rise, shine and bring the “good news” of the Kingdom of God and to demonstrate it in the earth. The gospel of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God, is the best headline news earth has ever gotten and it is free.

Chicken & fish dinners, choir competitions, deacons and pastor's anniversaries, women and men’s month and the like, will not save the lost from Hell. We need to come out of the Church buildings and do some ministry. Most Church folk have no idea that their calling is to touch lives and not just sit back and wait for the next event the Church will host. We have had conferences after conferences, speaker after speaker and yet most of the Church is still not saved. Yeah, I said it, and will say it again; many professing Christians in the Church are NOT saved. They are living selfish, suspicious, unloving lives; doing and practicing the same sins as those who are lost in the world. No wonder they can't bring anyone to Christ; they don't know Him themselves. Preach preachers! Preach the hard truths and stop trying to be "people friendly or politically correct." Folks are dying while you are lying. Wake up, Church and repent. Live holy lives and produce fruit that will remain and is pleasing to God.
