Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven quaked and were shaken because He was angry. Smoke went up from His nostrils and devouring fire from His mouth; coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also and came down with darkness under His feet. He rode upon a cherub, and flew; and He was seen upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness canopies around Him. Dark water and thick clouds of the skies. From the brightness before Him coals of fire were kindled…He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.
2 Samuel 22:8-13:20
The psalmist David, wrote this song of Deliverance depicting God's authority and might over darkness and every situation that can come against us. Many of us have experienced a season of darkness…trials, tribulations, sickness and distress, which in many instances, seemed as if it would take us out, but God had a plan for us. Depression and stress tried to get a permanent hold on us; our enemies thought they had the final word on us and Satan sought to destroy us with a final destructive move. But God got angry and began to shake the heavens and stepped into our situations and placed our darkness under His feet and made the darkness a canopy around His head; bless God for His power over darkness and for taking control over every dark thing that can come against us. Darkness had to move at the appearance of our Deliverer. God’s light caused the fiery coals that came to destroy us to smolder. God turned these fiery trials that were sent to destroy us by the enemy to actually purify us and make us holy and strong. These fiery trials and times of darkness are being replaced now by times of refreshing and a renewed zeal in our lives. We are in times of change and a new season of excitement and transformation. Embrace the change! Allow God to move dramatically in your life. God has delivered you from darkness and has placed you in a large place (abundance and overflow). You were being stretched during those times of testing and wilderness experiences. Stretching is painful; but no pain; no gain. The Lord has propelled you into a wealthy place in Him. Embrace this new place and run after the Lord. This is a place you have never been in before and it may seem strange to you. What has God revealed to you about you? God has released you from the bondage of darkness…fear, doubt, mistrust, intimidation, failure, and uncertainty to a place of renewed faith in Him. He has done this for you because it brings Him joy and He delights Himself in you.
For You are my lamp, O Lord; The Lord shall enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop. By our God I can leap over a wall. The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. For who is God except the Lord? And who is a rock except our God? God is our strength and power and He makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, and sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war.
2 Samuel 22:29-35
Have no fear for there is nothing that will be withheld from you. If you can see it in the spirit then you can manifest it in the natural. God has given us the power, strategy and spiritual authority to overcome the enemy of our souls and to possess the gates at the same time. He has perfected us and taught us how to war in the spirit. We have been set on high places against every principality and whatever we desire, we shall possess. When we realize that God is our strong tower and the strength of our life, nothing that we put our hands to will fail. Open doors; open windows and open heavens are over us and waiting for us to walk through. Cast off fear and embrace authority as you walk in this new season of spiritual influence. Signs, wonders and miracles will follow you as you walk in your Kingdom authority and speak the Word, knowing that you have been propelled into greatness by a God who sets you on high because He loves you. Embrace change and believe that God is your shield. No longer will you struggle with issues if you keep your focus on God. The storm is over!
