Silencing of the Sheep

A dear friend sent a picture of the Redwood forests in California where he had recently visited.  I have always wanted to visit that area and I could just imagine standing in the midst of these tall trees shouting the goodness of Jesus.  The trees can't talk, but they declare His glory, for nature reveals it's creator.

Then I said, I will not make mention of Him, nor speak anymore in His name.  But his word was in my heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones and I was weary with holding it and I could not stay.   Jeremiah 20:9

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of for I am under compulsion, for woe is me if I do not preach the gospel.
1 Corinthians 9:16

How can I not speak of the wonders of God and the beauty of His nature?  How can I remain silent as we all witness these last and evil days and the meltdown in the character of man? It is almost impossible for the Church to remain silent in light of the end time events that are taking place on a global scale.  While the people are seeking natural answers to spiritual problems, the called out ones know the answers.  We know that help is on the way and that help is Jesus.  He is the Way, the Truth and the Light.  There is no life without Him

Even if we try to remain neutral and not get into the fearful conversations of others, our spirit man is screaming inside of us to give them a word of hope.  The scripture says that God reveals what He's doing in these last days to His prophets, so contrary to popular opinion that no one really knows what's going on is not true; there are those who are in the know.  God has divinely revealed the times and seasons to His people. The issue is, how long will the prophets be silent?

Jeremiah said that the word of God felt like fire shut up in his bones and that he was weary of being silent.  It was more trouble to him to hold the word of God than to let it go and speak   How can we be the keepers of such great treasure and not express it?  Release it everywhere you go.  It is light and life to a dark and lost world.

What's causing the silencing of the sheep?  We are seeking God's hands and not His heart.  We are running after prosperity and teaching others to run after it.  Woe to those who desire to be rich to spend wealth on themselves.  Many in the church are running like they are crazy after prosperity and not Jesus.  Is anything too hard for God?  You have not because you ask not and when you ask, you ask amiss.  You want prosperity for selfish reasons to make yourselves comfortable.

People run from prophet to prophet who prophesy a lie of wealth and these people are no better off than they were before the prophets spoke.  The people are satisfied with a false word and never mind if it doesn't come to past, because you satisfied their need or greed. By the time they figure things out another prophet will come along and feed them some more sugar coated words that they want to hear.  Remember, Simon the Sorcerer in the Book of Acts sought the power of God from the men of God and not wealth.

Speak the truth, which is the gospel of Jesus Christ.  It's not out dated is it?  Everybody want to be so deep today that they have forgotten Jesus' message and I know we're not deeper than Jesus.

Speak people of the Most High God.  Release His glory into the atmospheres.  He is awesome, worthy, faithful, righteous and there's none like Him.  Speak!  Declare, decree and profess the love of God and the beauty of His word. He is worthy of our praise!

  2. Yes, you are quite correct. He has and will speak by His prophets today. These are not the prophets that I am referring to; it's the ones who are self proclaimed.

God said, "I did not send these propjets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to fhem, yet they have prophesied." Jeremiah 23:21
