Enoch walked with God and was: and he was not; for God took Him. Genesis 5:24
I have always been fascinated with Enoch's experience of walking with God and then was "caught up" with Him in glory. He abided, clung to, hid himself in the shadow of God. His conversations were with God and about God. His thoughts were on God and God was heavy on His mind, so much so that God took him. The love that Enoch and God had made them inseparable, so much so that God said, "come up here." Enoch's days on this earth were 365 days and he was taken by God.
The Apostle John was another one whom God loved deeply and John took advantage of letting all with ears know about it. He wrote about himself that he was the one whom Jesus loved and I'm sure he sparked criticism from his comrades like. "who do he think he is...Jesus loves us all." Say what you want, but he died a natural death in Ephesus after writing the Book of Revelation while imprisoned on the Isle of Patmos. It was in this place that God called him, "come up here." God gave him powerful revelation of the end times and also let him see glory in Glory. What a privilege.
It pays handsomely to walk with God. Nothing on this earth compares to the things or the glory that God will reveal to us about the spirit realm. God says, seek me and I will show you great and mighty things that you do not know. God has an unlimited supply of heavenly wonder to "wow" us. Taste and see that the Lord is good.
If you are to experience God, try walking with Him. Get into His shadow as a child walk close to his earthly father, this is the way we need to walk with God. I promise you, nothing in or on this earth compares to walking with God. You have to let some things and people go who will hinder your walk, but the glory that God will reveal to us is well worth anything your hands loose on this earth.
The petty things of this life won't effect you, because you are in the shadow of Abba. God want us to be inseparable from Him...He want us to be wrapped up in Him. When we are in place with God, the things of this world won't disappoint you, for you know that God is your provider, sustainer, healer, peace, friend, Father, motivator and Lord. Get close to Him and purpose to walk with Him. As the days grow summer, you will always be overshadowed by His Light.
Walking...in the cool of the day...with God.... Glory....
