The Lord gave me a dream last night and said to share this with you for the church. I saw lots of people watching a house that was on a wide load truck (temporary foundation). This house was newly built with everything inside, even clothes hanging in it. The builders were all looking for a foundation to lay it on.
"The foundation has already been laid, which is Jesus Christ." We take our junk into the church every week hoping to find refuge and peace. There seems to be no peace, only disorder and clutter. Then we build our lives after the world and world's ways, hoping to find peace in our structures and ideas. They look almost perfect on the outside, and it seems that goodwill is being done on the earth. (We clothe ourselves with everything but Christ.) Where is the foundation? What are the people searching for and why can they not seem to find it? Our foundation can only be found on Jesus Christ. Anything less will not do. All of our structures and plans will fall apart when placed on any other foundation. We need to allow God to adjust our plans, our ideas, our hopes, and our dreams. We cannot move forward without Him. We look at great builders and give them glory instead of God who is the Master Builder. Man's ideas will fail, but God will always come through. His plans always succeed. We must see with His eyes to understand the heart of His kingdom. "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain." Are we willing to allow God to do the building?
Blessings,
Amy
