Anointed for Vision and Greatness

Now to him who is able to do immeasurable more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20

The word immeasurable means: colossal, huge, enormous, infinite, and incalculable, beyond measure, endless, vast, massive and great. Immeasurable is such a loaded word that it almost defies our ability to understand its dimensions in and on our lives. We often forget the greatness of the God we serve when we are believing for Him to supply our wants, needs and desires.

We often forget that God is the one who places desire within us and if He places it there, then He will supply what is needed and bring it to completeness. When He gives us a vision or an assignment, we become excited and focused on what we have been called to do and immediately begin to put things together. In the process of putting things on the table, the undertaking can sometimes appear almost impossible to perform or complete when we really give it a close look. We begin to look at how much money it will take, the manpower needed to perform it, what venue to use and the miracles needed to complete the vision. We are admonished by the Prophet Habakkuk to, “write the vision (revelation) and make it plan on tablets...” We should consider all avenues when provoked by God to vision, but we should also consider that if He calls and commissions us to perform a task, then He will open doors to see it through to the end. That’s the part that we forget. It is God who will complete the task.

We may look at how many negative responses we get and become discouraged, not realizing that the individuals who reject the invitation are not a part of God’s vision for what He has given us to do. The kingdom of Heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come. Matthew 22:2-3. Jesus reveals to us in this parable that there will be those who reject His invitation, but He also said, “The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find. So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests. Matthew 22:8-10. For many are invited, but few are chosen. Those who answer the invitation with a pure heart will be blessed but those with ulterior motives will be dealt with by God.

Here’s the part that is often overlooked in the response God gave to the Prophet Habakkuk and it is this, “so that a herald may run with it,” wow, what a powerful word. A herald or messenger, or an angel may run with the vision God has given you to do. Realize that angelic help has been commissioned and released, to assist you in performing God’s revealed assignments on your life. God releases His ministering agents or angels to work on His and your behalf according to the power that is within you. What’s in you? It is the fruit of faith that work the vision God places in us. God’s wraps His faith around ours to bring the vision on scene. We can’t fail with the knowledge that all assignments are given by God and it is He who will help us perform and accomplish every assignment. He can and He will do exceedingly and abundantly ABOVE ALL that we can ask or think (that’s imagination). We can’t lose with God on our side and His desire to see His work fulfilled in the earth as it is in Heaven.
