Those of us who live in the south, have just gone through the most amazing three days of storms, I have ever lived through. These storms began in Texas and moved over Arkansas, Tennessee and other areas of the south. Arkansas was simply devastated in these terrible storms. There was damage to homes, roads, businesses, power lines, trees and personal property. Most of us experienced hail. We experienced wave after wave of storms, winds and tornadoes. The sirens were going off and by the end of these storms; we are left with terrible flooding.
Most of us are very weary of all the drama that these storms brought, but those in the north east experienced mind boggling, record breaking, snow storms this past winter. Snow storms are not as devastating as tornadoes, but they do damage too, and the people become weary of snow as well.
I sat back after the storms and thought about how we went through constant waves of storm after storm. The TV stations are good at telling us where these storms are going to hit next and what time they will arrive over sections of the cities and counties. I was amazed at the technology, as I clocked most of predictions of the meteorologists and found that they were correct on their timing.
The world can tell us what time a storm will arrive in our area, but why can’t the Church understand the times and seasons we are living in? The answer is, that we are too distracted with our personal storms. We are in crunch time and the harvest is waiting on us to be delivered from darkness. There are a few prophets crying out in the wilderness about what time we are living in and how the Church is in its finest days, but few will hear or believe. Yeah, many people will agree that we are in the last days, but few live as if we are. If we are in the last days, then why do we worry so much? If we believe that God created us to be the head and not the tail, then we should walk in victory, even in the midst of the storm.
I have always been interested in storm chasers. They chase what other people run from. We hide out in bathtubs and closets and these brave chasers drive like maniacs chasing these storms. These are the folks who will chase a terrible storm down, hoping to see a tornado form. Once the tornado form, they are exhilarated and document what they see. They try to get as many pictures as they can, to prove to the general public how tornadoes form. I thought about the fact, that we have kingdom storm chasers and they are called apostles, intercessors, prophets, missionaries, and evangelists. These courageous men and women go smack dab into the middle or the enemy’s camp and call it like they see it. They are not afraid of the enemy, or to speak what they see, as they declare what time it is in the spirit realm. They are bold enough to chase after spiritual darkness to release light to those who have been held captive; setting them free with the Word of God and the demonstration of His power. We are exhilarated as we see these people delivered and saved, to become disciples of Jesus Christ.
We should be doing damage to the powers of darkness, by taking authority over every spiritual mountain, as we create our own whirlwind of light, in the darkness. Father, will be pleased with us and He will call us, “Trees of Righteousness.”
