Many churches, ministries and individuals have been involved in consecrations, various types of fasting and prayer during the month of January and February. We are constantly hearing of the Daniel fast, the complete fast or fasting from certain activities or things. As I was in prayer the other day, I received unction in my spirit that God was giving His people an invitation to come in deeper with Him. He is calling us to be renewed and restored in Him and to put Him first in our lives. This call to prayer is not a call to receive a higher revelation or gifts, but to receive more of Him on a deeper level and in doing so; we will automatically receive the deeper things that can only be found in Him.
Many have become satisfied with doing business as usual, but we are not in a usual season, for God is calling us to move into a greater place of closeness with Him. We are in a season when God is calling us to become intimate with Him and receive His love as He receives ours. The Body of Christ has become caught up in the affairs of this world and God is calling us to get caught up and saturated in Him.
We have become overly concerned with causes, politics (even church politics), finances, relationships, games, and even church conferences. I am not saying that church conferences are wrong, they are not wrong, but I am saying that we can’t build our lives around these conferences; we must have an intimate relationship with God personally. Many have come up with their own doctrines, principles and catch phrases that have nothing to do with God and package them for the people of God. Some have called the assumptions of their hearts as if they are the will of God’s heart. If a well known prophet gives a prophetic word, then other prophets’ jump on that word or principle and speak it as if God gave it to them personally because they can’t hear from God themselves. We are following men and not God. We have shunned other churches or ministries because we feel we have “current revelation,” while God is concerned about the condition of our hearts. We have formed alliances and fellowships because we have called our way of thinking progressive. But God is calling us all to stop right in our tracks and examine our relationship with Him. Just because we can call on His name doesn’t mean we are approved by Him, but this call to the church to come to Him and commune with Him, is our opportunity to know Him in a greater way.
God is calling us out of our daily habits into a place of quietness in Him, individually. He is looking for those who will seek Him in this hour. We must forsake our will for His will. He is calling us to overcome our weaknesses and issues, regardless of our positions or titles. He is calling us to holiness and righteousness before Him. He is calling us to personal intimacy as He ushers us into the secret place, where He is. This is a clarion call to the remnant; a call to intimacy; a call to abide in Him; a call to oneness in Him and He in us. God is calling us to an invitation to walk in the spirit and total agreement with Him. All of the shakings that will go on in the world will not shake us if we learn to stand in agreement and oneness with God, because we will not be moved by external pressure, for we would have learned how to live and survive in God’s perfect peace by His internal presence in our inner man.
Amen!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been feeling the same in regards to myself but im kind of having a hard time knowing where to begin
ReplyDeleteThe first place to begin is to simply begin. Just have a conversation with Him. It is always good to take it to the next level by reading what the Word says about God. Psalms 103 tells of His goodness, and that is a good place to start but make the words personal as if you wrote the psalm. You will find that the Holy Spirit will meet you there and take you higher for a personal experience with Him. Be patient and blessed.
