From Worship to Glory

But an hour is coming and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. John 4:23

I had a dream in which I saw a drawing of three women on a sheet of paper who was worshipping the Lord. Their faces shone with the radiance of God and there was a statement written in scripture style under the picture which said “when the worshippers worship, their faces become radiant.” End of dream. I grabbed a piece of paper and jotted down the short dream because I knew God was speaking to me.
When I got out of bed, I read every scripture that had the words worship, worshipper or worshiped in it. When I got to John 4:23, the Lord impressed on me that my search was over. He magnified this scripture in my heart and I knew this was the scripture God wanted me to meditate on. The scripture says that the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth. The words “true worshipers” jumped off the page and the logos, became rhema. I have read this scripture for years but it never had the effect it had on me this time. The Greek word for worshiper is proskunetes (pors-koo-nay-tace) which means “adorer”. God is looker for those who adore Him. This word also means, “to kiss.” The concordance puts it this way, “like a dog licking its master.” Those of us who have owned a dog know how faithful they can be toward us. A faithful dog will lick you all day to show their adoration. True worshipers adore the Lord and their heart is turned toward Him most of the time. He becomes their life. True worshipers are not interested in sinful activities for they know that God is not pleased with sin. Their lifestyles are holy and they are concerned about the things that please the Lord. God opens the gates to us when we understand the keys to enter in. The key to opening God’s gates to us is thanksgiving or a thankful heart; a heart filled with gratitude for the things He has done in our lives. Thanksgiving propels us into His courts of praise but then praise beckons us to go further into worship and at this place we are ushered into the secret place of the Most High.

I thought of Moses when He went up on the mountain to get the Ten Commandments and upon His return his face shone with the brightness of God’s glory . He had to cover his face so that the people could look at him without hurting their eyes. Moses reflected the light of the glory of Jehovah God. He was all in God’s face and God’s glory was seen on him. A true worshiper’s life should reflect the glory of God in their character. They should be peaceable, kind, loving, faithful, patient, good, full of joy, gentle and live a lifestyle under the restraint of the Holy Spirit. Spiritual fruit matures when it is nurtured by worship and worship brings on the glory or the light of God in our lives. I bless God for this revelation of worship. It is who I am not what I do and the Word says, that the Father is actively seeking those who adore Him for He is a spirit and He is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.

  1. That's the operative statement! True worshippers are who Father seeks after, looks for. For the time is coming and now IS! Hallelujah!
