Repent and Walk in the Blessed Realm

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

This type of confession leads to repentance. We are exhorted to examine ourselves and see if we are in the faith. We are experiencing a time in history unprecedented and unparalleled to any other time. We are seeing gross sins committed in the world and the Body of Christ; sins that the Word says it is "unlawful" to even mention these evil deeds. Why have we become so lax in our behavior and thinking? What's really going on in our hearts? Even the world is calling for a halt in disrepecting one another. One thing is for sure, there is no reverence or respect for God these days. Men will curse God's name or speak lies in His name. So many will stand up and say, "God said" when God did not say. We prophesy from a position of assumption and not a "true Word from the Lord." We have become reckless and dangerous, not caring who is hurt by our misguided pathetic (oops) prophetic words.

God is calling us to be holy before Him. He is calling us to examine ourselves and repent of those things that quench the Holy Spirit. During these Days of Awe, we need to look back over the past year at those things that caused us to falter. Make a mental note of them, repent, get up and walk in victory in Christ Jesus.

Holy Father, cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Cause us to walk in your holiness and your glory. Fill us with more of yourself so that we can speak from your very heart. You have commanded us to draw close to you and You will draw close to us and this is the place where the enemy has to flee. Your Word says to resist the devil and he will flee from us.

It's not that enemy might flee, but that he will flee. The wonderful promise from God is when we walk in holiness the Holy Spirit will deal with the enemy on our behalf for the Word says that when the enemy comes against us like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord WILL lift up a standard against him. God will step to the enemy so we don't have to. He desires us to walk in the blessed realm. Yes, the winds will blow and the storm will come but behind every dark cloud, there is a silver lining. Praise God!!!!!!

The Jews have an interesting belief on this season of repentance. They believe that in this period of God's High Holy Days that a persons fate is determined by their repentance; whether they will have favor or curses or whether they will live or die. God is making these decisions by their willingness to repent of past sins. Their fate is sealed on the Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur.

I thank God for His precious Holy Spirit that checks us when there is sin in our lives and convicts us to repentance. I thank God for that small check in my spirit for this Holy Spirit checking causes me to walk in holiness and not condemnation.

When our ways please the Lord, we can confess and possess these areas of blessings and we can sound the shofar over Zion (the Church)
God's eyes will be on us, God will give us favor
God hears our prayers and answers us
God defeats our enemies
God's angels will encamp all around us
God will provide our needs and desires above what we could even ask
God will allow us to speak to our mountains; and they will moved
God's shalom (peace) will be on us

Goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life as you dwell in the presence of the Lord forever.

Have a blessed Rosh Hoshanah (Feast of Trumpets)
