Take Authority

Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.
Isaiah 65:24

The prophet Isaiah spoke these prophetic words relating to a future time when God will create new heavens and a new earth. God paints a very beautiful and peaceful picture of this future time when He will delight and rejoice over His people on the earth. This will be a time when the nature of animals and people will change to the point that even the very things they desire to eat will be different. The lion is pictured as eating straw with the lamb and people planting and building without the fear that is on the earth today. With this change of nature and transformation of the heart, we will be in harmony with God and there will be no need for anyone to walk in depression or sadness because Jesus will be with them. The Kingdom of God will physically be set up on the earth.

God says that before we call, He will answer us and while we are speaking He will hear. This is relationship with God at its best. This is what the Kingdom agenda is all about. God is and has been expressing this agenda since the Holy Spirit fell on the earth almost two thousand years ago. What has caused true Believers to stand out a cut above the rest is the transformed heart; the Holy Spirit in them.

Isaiah prophesized what the Kingdom of God would look like during the Millennium but Jesus tells us what it looks like today. For Jesus Himself said,
"When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, The Kingdom of God is near you" Luke 10:9
We represent the Kingdom of God for we are carriers of the Holy Spirit. When we walk into any territory, we should be able to change the atmosphere by our very presence. We decree that things be changed and that evil spirits leave. We command that healing breakforth and that deliverance take place. We are called to make a difference in the land. The Church was not called to chase miracles, signs and wonders; we were anointed by the Holy Spirit to demonstrate miracles, signs and wonders. When Jesus went to resurrect Lazarus, he prayed for the sake of the people saying, "Father, I know you hear me for You ALWAYS hear Me." (emphasis mine) Jesus prayed for the sake of the people so that their faith would increase. When we find ourselves in a situation where healing need to take place we don't need to scream out healing; we command healing. This demonstration of the Kingdom of God will increase the faith of those who are healed but also for the bystanders. Our faith is increased because often times we know that God answered our request before we even asked Him. God says He will answer us before we call. For those of us who teach or preach, God will put His words into your mouths before you say them if you are submitted to Him. Take authority, for God has given you the power to trample over serpents so that people are blessed, our God is glorified and satan is horrified as we bless the name of Jesus.
