...Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10
He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me
Psalms 55:18
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you: not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 15:27
We are living in unprecedented times when there is global unrest, recession, strife, war, religious confusion, and crime that is off the chart. The daily reports on the News make us want to run under a table in get into the fetal position and not move. But God has not called us to be paralyzed by the reports of this world for we must consider whose report will we believe. God promises us the fruit of peace and joy as a benefit of belonging to Him.
The Lord spoke a "Word" to me two years ago and said, "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, don't be dismayed". Little did I know at that time that we were getting ready for a complete global overhaul as we are now in. But these times have come upon us to try and judge us. God has also given His people an overhaul too. He is revealing Himself to us in that place called, "intimacy". I have come to a deeper understanding of the one I love and worship. One of the many things I have learned is the complete difference between happiness and joy. Happiness depends on our circumstances; whether we get what we want or not. Whether we get the man or woman, the job, the raise, the house, or get to keep the car makes the difference as to whether we are happy or depressed. Depression is real and it is a spirit that we allow to manipulate us into isolation and despair. Depression and despair completely destroys our peace. No matter what war is waged against us by the enemy, God is our strength and our peace.
He is our keeper; he is our deliverer and he is our mind regulator because when we realize who He is, we understand His joy. For the joy of the Lord is truly my strength.
Apostle Paul wrote while in prison that whatever state or circumstance he found himself in that he learned contentment. When we know God, in those times of trouble we are propelled into the secret place with God. We become hidden in Him. When we are covered by the Most High in the secret place, nothing in this earth realm touches us for we are mesmerized and suspended in His beauty and love. We allow Him to saturate us in His love, peace and joy. We are caught away into a realm in God and nothing in this place matters anymore; nothing! God keeps us there as long as we need to be there and when we return to our everyday living, we realize that we are wrapped in His peace and His joy. That is where our strength comes from. It is supernatural! It is the stuff that God is made of and He leaves deposits of His goodness on us. Rest in the Lord, trust in the Lord and know that His joy will be your strength. His immeasurable love, His joy all equals my peace. Hallelujah, know that Jehovah God is with you. Yeshua reigns in our life.
Apostle Brooks
