Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mines and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Matthew 7:24
When He slew them, then they sought Him; and they returned and sought earnestly for God. Then they remembered that God was their rock. and the Most High God their redeemer.
Psalms 78:34-35
When I was a young child I would go across the street from my apartment and stand on a huge rock that had formerly been a part of a warehouse that had been destroyed. The rubble stood in this vacant lot for several years and I would stand on the top of this rock mountain and pretend that I was a conqueror.
Life remains the same for me today. I stand on the Rock of my salvation and I claim victory over every challenge and circumstance because of who the rock is. Jesus is the Rock that is higher than I. A rock symbolizes Jesus, strength, and comfort. Jesus, our Rock covers us and consoles us. In Him there is no lack, abandonment or rejection for He has anointed us to be victorious over every situation.
Jesus is calling us to demonstrate the principles we read about in the Word. We are called to be doers of the Word and not just hearers. God is not impressed with us reciting the Word but to make the Word evident in our lives. The Christian life is one of sacrifice and love for others. We hear and then we do. Once we hear His Word, we are called to live what Jesus spoke. Jesus calls us to “just do it.” Stop procrastinating and obey and demonstrate the Word of God in power through your lifestyle. Demonstrating the Word means that we walk in character and integrity. People are watching us. We are being read. The Word says, we are "living epistles, read by ALL men." There is never a time to live reckless. Our lifestyles will bring God either glory or shame. The Church is watching you, the world is watching you and the enemy of our Lord is watching you. Trust God! Shame the devil! Live Holy. The Words of God will make us wise. So, let’s demonstrate our love for God by keeping His Words and practicing them. Obedience to God’s Word brings wisdom and blessings.
Be exceedingly blessed
