THE SOUND

At 10:09 a.m. this morning I heard the sound of a shofar - blowing. I was reading - so I stopped and asked, "Why, what is happening." I heard in my spirit: I am calling the well-known home to let the masses know I AM coming. Time has already stopped for some but they know it not. There is a ticking sound of the clock in this room that you are usually oblivious to but today observe the clock." And I asked "What am I seeing?" "The hands of time have stopped moving but the sound is still heard. Replace the battery - start afresh - seek the Lord while he may be found. " A world known icon - Walter Cronkite died last night and I knew another legend or king had died. He was a household fixture at my house when I was young. My parents only looked at his broadcasts. He was 92 and lived a full life; but God reminds us that life is fleeting.

I kept dozing off while reading this morning and each time I closed my eyes I would dream of people looking for something and when they found it, they would argue or fight over it. In one dream gold was found, another power was discovered, another position and things were sought, and the last the anointing of another. In each dream, when the treasure was found, they fought. Why? Because it revealed their heart's desire and the state of their heart s. They sought the treasure and not the giver of the treasure and when found they were too greedy to share. Each dream revealed that there was more than enough for each person to prosper, enough power for each person, a multitude of positions to hold, there were enough things to maintain and share, and more than enough anointing; but greed set in and pride followed swiftly behind.

The shofar is blowing in the Spirit but the ears of man only hear static or silence. I think that the reason I keep hearing "There is a sound" from the Lord is because I have to "Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins." (Isaiah 58:1) We think we know what God wants by showing off our humility (in public) and doing our "church shout and responses". God spells out in his word what He desires: "But he's already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It's quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don't take yourself too seriously— take God seriously." (Micah 6:8)

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow
