Anointed and Appointed by God

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me …
Isa 61:1
Every time I find myself in difficult circumstances or challenges that are beyond my ability to solve, I remind myself that God is in control of my life. But in the past I thought I had to solve my problems and spent far too many hours wasting time trying to fix whatever was wrong. I learned that all my plans were nothing if God had other plans for me. So, as I grew in Christ and in wisdom, I learned to yield to the Spirit of God as He softly spoke to my spirit that He is ordering my steps and my path. I finally learned to snap out of that place of self-sufficiency and began to activate my faith that it’s not in what I can see or figure out for myself but what God says to me; I can do all things. I trust God to bring on scene that thing that I can’t see. I know that deliverance is on the way and that God will supply all my needs because of His greatness and His awesome love for me. He stretches me because He loves me. In this place of stretching and crushing, I am molded and changed into His image. I burst forth with fruit that will remain no matter the circumstances. God reveals His plans for my life and the anointing that goes with the plans. Revelations comes when I spend time in His presence and manifestation comes from the faith I gained in His presence. When I am in His presence or putting it the way Isaiah put it; that the spirit of the Lord is on me I can do anything and my faith is way up there. There is no lack in this Holy place with God. There is boldness through the power of the Holy Spirit to do phenomenal ministry. I am strengthened when I remember that I have been called by the Most High and given total sonship with all the benefits. Therefore, I can operate like Christ operated and I can “bring it” like Christ brought it. We can’t operate in faith to do miracles if we doubt God’s power in our own lives. Peter knew that if he had Jesus’ permission to step out of the boat that he would defy nature and walk on water as Jesus was doing. It took incredible faith on Peter’s part to get out of the boat during a raging storm. But he did and as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus, he defied nature. But Peter did what we all do and began to doubt and become fearful when he saw the wind and angry water around him. We do the same thing when we look at our difficult circumstances and become fearful. Peter began to sink because of this fear but he had enough sense to call out to Jesus and grab hold of Him. That is what God is calling us to do. Grab hold of Him and don’t let go. Remember that we are anointed to do mighty exploits in the land. It’s not our anointing but God’s anointing. The Lord anoints us to demonstrate the Kingdom of God through signs, wonders, miracles, healing and deliverance. We must settle this matter in our hearts once and for all. We are anointed, appointed and equipped to operate in the supernatural and demonstrate the Kingdom of God on the earth. We are called and anointed to set the captives free and to do extraordinary ministry in the earth not for self-glorification but to glorify God.
