Therefore, laying aside all malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy and all evil speaking as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1 Peter 2: 1-3
I believe with all my heart that if we are worshippers and set our minds on the awareness and essence of God and His beauty, that we would give the Devil no ground to seduce us to become envious or jealous of others. Negative people are self focused instead of God focused. They can't be happy about your blessing without focusing on their lack. When people are envious and jealous of others and speak tall tales against them, it speaks volumes of their admiration of those they are tearing down. They are interested in your life because they don't appreciate the life God has given them. These folks give off toxic Vibes that depress the soul.
Don't allow negative people to sprew their venomous words into your ear and spirit. Just as you would flee sexual lusts; flee negative people. They are a downer to your spirit and spiritual cancer to your bones. Your righteousness will not rub off on them, but I guarantee you that their bad vibes will rob you of your joy.
The Word of God is filled with beauty, intrigue, history and stories of people who come from all manner of situations. We learn the nature and character of God through His word. God has downloaded Himself into the written word to feed your spirit man. We eat this word to be spiritually nourished and in this place we learn to experience Him. His word should be our spiritual nourishment as we taste Him and come to know that He is indeed gracious toward us
Our lives are life a vapor; give or take a few short 70 or 80 years. Why waste it on negative folks? Let them gravitate to others like them and you pray for them at a distance. Let your life be filled with joy, goodness, friends and love. That's the good life worth living...live before you die
